Role: Retail Assistant (Food Hall)
Reporting to: Retail Manager
Location: Dromore
Summary of the Role
We are currently recruiting for Retail Assistants for our Dromore Food hall.
Contracts will be for 8 hours per week and weekend availability is essential. All Carnbrooke employees receive 20% discount on own brand.
Main Duties:
- Show a positive attitude and take responsibility for ensuring customers receive an excellent shopping experience
- Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy
- Merchandise shelves, ensuring that all areas of the store are presented to the highest standard
- Continuous monitoring of stock quality and freshness through stock rotation
- Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working
- To provide excellent customer service
- To operate the till in line with company till operation and cash handling procedures
- To sell and demonstrate product knowledge by advising the customer/answering queries and suggesting products as part of the customer transaction
- Comply with all health and safety legislation
- To assist in stocktaking procedures
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs
- Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
- Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Customer driven
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage
Desirable criteria:
- Previous retail & customer service experience, preferably in the grocery sector.
