Role: Retail Assistant (Food Hall)
Reporting to: Retail Manager
Location: Dromore
Summary of the Role
We are currently recruiting for Retail Assistants for our Dromore Food hall.
Contracts will be for 24 hours per week and weekend availability is essential. All Carnbrooke employees receive 20% discount on own brand.

Main Duties:

  • Show a positive attitude and take responsibility for ensuring customers receive an excellent shopping experience
  • Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy
  • Merchandise shelves, ensuring that all areas of the store are presented to the highest standard
  • Continuous monitoring of stock quality and freshness through stock rotation
  • Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working
  • To provide excellent customer service
  • To operate the till in line with company till operation and cash handling procedures
  • To sell and demonstrate product knowledge by advising the customer/answering queries and suggesting products as part of the customer transaction
  • Comply with all health and safety legislation
  • To assist in stocktaking procedures

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs
  • Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer driven
  • Previous customer service experience is an advantage

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous retail & customer service experience, preferably in the grocery sector.
